No Longer Business As Usual in washington. Donations Limited to 50k

According to this article here.  Donations are not being accepted. :)  Damn obama is stepping in and stepping on some toes Fucking Quick.

“Those rules are all self-imposed - legally there’s no limit to the amount of money a donor can give to an inaugural celebration.

Dozens of donors, including Home Depot, Bank of America, Ford Motor Company, each contributed $250,000 to President Bush’s second inauguration in 2004. It’s estimated to have cost more than $40 million.

But members of Obama’s committee say it’s no longer business as usual in Washington.”

Still waiting for that damn inauguration.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein Introduces Anti-Ticket Scalping Legislation on barack obamas inauguration

The problem with all this new obama inauguration tickets fiasco is this.. any senator wannabe introduces some shit to get some facetime on the press. I wish they would do this with things that matter i.e education and health care. Here are some excerts from washington post
“In a statement, Feinstein said: “The Inauguration of the President is one of the most important rituals of our democracy. The chance to witness this event should not be bought and sold like tickets to a football game. This legislation is meant to immediately stop the unscrupulous behavior of those who obtain these tickets for free and then seek to profit by selling them, often at dramatically inflated prices. This bill also would target those duping the public with fraudulent tickets or promises of tickets they don’t actually have.”

That smells like nothing but bullshit to me… come on let guys make a little money and set the amount of tickets that you can sell at 500 bucks a ticket. I would buy them A.s.a.p.
